Hamburg's most beautiful weekly market

The Isemarkt in Eppendorf is an iconic institution for gourmets and connoisseurs. For more than 70 years, people have been meeting under the elevated railway bridge to browse and shop.

Stroll, browse, chat

Flowers, fruit, herbs and vegetables, fresh fish, delicious cheeses, teas and delicacies are stacked up on stalls by around 200 traders every Tuesday and Friday. Here you can buy regional and exotic delicacies, talk shop with the vendors or simply drink a coffee and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Every now and then, the poets of Hamburg even do the honours with live performances. This creates the flair that makes the Isemarkt unique among the 100 markets in the Hanseatic city. Let yourself be carried away and enjoy the scents, aromas and colours!

Elegant Eppendorf

Located on the western bank of the Alster, Eppendorf is considered the oldest village in the city and, with elegant old buildings, chic shops, lots of water and beautiful parks, is now one of Hamburg's most attractive districts.
