Dresden classical music delight in front of a grand backdrop

The Dresden Music Festival is one of the most important classical music festivals in Europe. Orchestral concerts, chamber music and performances by celebrated soloists are part of a top-class programme every year in early summer.

Multifaceted musical performances

In the unique historical setting of Dresden, music plays the leading role during four weeks in May and June*. The city's tradition as a venue for great operas and ballets dates back to the Saxon Court. Even during the division of Germany, the most famous international classical greats were guests at the Festival. Today, the music festival also offers early, new and world music as well as jazz and dance, and it is impossible to imagine the international festival calendar without it. Experience this unique musical diversity!

*The Dresden Music Festival will take place from May 11 to June 10, 2022.
